If your company has great training material, but you’re not getting very good user knowledge retention, try converting it into SCORM-compliant eLearning courses first. Do this before localization into other languages for international learners, and close that gap by providing best-in-class training.
SimulTrans can help with converting your English eLearning content first and then localizing it into 100 languages!
Here are the steps for sending eLearning content for SCORM localization:
There are seven versions of SCORM. SCORM is currently the main eLearning standard used for training courses and is compatible with almost all LMS systems.
Since SCORM standardizes how educational content is transferred from one computer or device to another, which versions you should use will depend on what you need from your content.
Arrange the original course content to make a global program that will suit international learners speaking other languages.
Consider the storyboard of the new SCORM course.
Think about the organization of the existing course(s), its appearance, and navigation.
Choose from:
Pro tip: Provide ready-made questions for the "test your knowledge" section.
Choose what languages your eLearning content should be translated into to suit your international learners.
If you are including bi-directional languages or need to adjust the content for cultural differences, these requirements need to be addressed at the start of localization.
Once we get all these files and instructions, we will prepare a quote and estimate a delivery date for the initial SCORM course.
Next, we will schedule a meeting to go through the content and the design with you.
Once the English SCORM course is completed and approved, we will translate the course into your chosen languages.
You will get a SCORM zip file as a delivery.
Once your course content has been converted to SCORM packages and localized, your training managers can add these localized SCORM courses to your Learning Management System and make them available to your international learners.
Schedule time to discuss your own SCORM-compliant eLearning project with an expert.
