File Transfer and Archiving for Localization Assets
Localization Vault is a resource developed and hosted by SimulTrans for securely and conveniently managing localization assets. Accessed primarily through a web browser, Localization Vault offers the following capabilities:
- Transfer files to and from your localization service providers, individual translators, and in-country reviewers
- Archive localized documents and software files in a central repository
- Store translation memories, glossaries, and other localization assets
Centralized Control
The Localization Vault may be used with individual or multiple language service providers with whom you work. Centralizing the storage of key translation assets, such as memory and glossary files, gives companies several advantages:
- Maximize leveraging and reduce costs by securely sharing translation memory among all translation and localization partners
- Provide convenient access to localized content and assets to employees throughout your organization
- Exercise internal control over valuable localization assets instead of relying on individual translation firms to maintain archives
High Security
Localization Vault provides high security for file storage and transfer. Transfers into and out of the vault may be made using the following protocols:
- Web client interface using HTTPS protocol with SSL encryption,
- SSL/FTPS transfer using file transfer client software, and
- SSH/SFTP transfer using file transfer client software.
To ensure the security of your intellectual property, Localization Vault offers FIPS-validated cryptography, authentication encryption, transport encryption using 256-bit AES, and file integrity checking based on the SHA-512 standard.
